Sam is a choreographer, performer and movement director working across dance, theatre and film. Over the past seventeen years he has moved between stages, studios and film sets - creating, performing and teaching internationally.
His practice sits between dance and theatre, precision and mess, humour and sincerity. Shaped by a background in contemporary dance alongside clowning, mime, mask and physical theatre.
He trained at London Contemporary Dance School (BA, MA) and has worked with Hofesh Shechter Company, Jasmin Vardimon, Gecko Theatre, Clod Ensemble, The Farm, Australasian Dance Collective, Club Guy & Roni and the Royal Opera House.
Screen credits include FKA twigs, English National Ballet, Jon Hopkins, Blackhaine, The Chemical Brothers and Universal Pictures.
Alongside his own creative work, Sam teaches and mentors performers across disciplines, supporting the development of physical awareness, creative risk-taking and embodied performance practices.
Currently based between the UK/Europe and Australia.
